How it works?
- Company security policy and sensitive data classifications are defined through the centrally managed DataDNA Server;
- All pre-existing sensitive files will be fingerprinted throughout the network;
- Policy and fingerprint database will be pushed to every endpoint. All end point can now independently monitor and protect sensitive data travel through the end point, even if it is off-line;
- Should LeadProof detect data violations, it will be logged on the DataDNA server, depends on the company policy and configuration of the system, copy of the document will be copied to the DataDNA server for further action, user will be warned, prompted with a company policy education message / link, requested for justification, or prompted for an encryption password.
LeakProof actively detects sensitive content by four methods: i) Fingerprinting, ii) Regex – regular expression, iii) Keyword matching ,and iv) File meta-data matching. These 4 means of detection offer a flexible and reliable control for corporations to implement their policy.
In tackling data violation, LeakProof does not only play a blocking role, but also provides a mean for company to manage and train their employees to understand company security polices and measures. The brandable dialog box during security alert can refer users to company’s policy and track down all incidents for further review and action.
